SSL recently has added the following databases and/or upgrades to existing resources:
SimplyMap (with Mediamark add in)
Standard & Poor’s Global NetAdvantage (an upgrade to the domestic version)
Thomson One Banker (an upgrade from Thomson Research)
I had an opportunity recently to use these new tools to help a student researching online education, a topic that crosses many sectors and disciplines. Examples of what we discovered in each of the new/improved resources follow:
e-Marketer retrieved the following article and chart
SimplyMap (with Media-mark add on): Tracked internet access at home for Hartford census tracts.
Value Line Historical has reports on the companies going back to 2000:
Standard& Poor’s Global NetAdvantage has information on a European company engaged in online learning:
Thomson One Banker contains information private equity investments data for privately backed firms in the online learning industry:
